Heard quite a cool quote today. "Everyday is the first day of the rest of your life." I guess that's where the saying that you can start everyday anew came from?

yup. start of uni life. can tell it's going to be really different. hope that I have nice coursemates and classmates. hall life is up till now quite fun. it'll get even better when i get to know my neighbours better i think :) i think in uni, your friends are really important. somehow more important than in jc or secondary school in the sense that you'll need to rely more on each other and stuff.

quite excited to start school after 9 months of holidays. Holidays have been quite awesome, being to Thailand and Taiwan and stuff. But after all the working, though I really enjoyed it, school is still the best. It's the place where you know that you're still a student so there are ppl like teachers who you can rely on, the place where you can pursue all that you want, your passions and interests, the place where you can make a fool of yourself doing stupid things without very serious consequences. The point is, in society, you are there all alone, responsible for every wrong or right thing you do without anyone to clear up behind you. yup, so all students please appreciate school A LOT :)

anyway, i think my hall is quite awesome :) there are friendly neighbours who actually htht to like super late. I will get to know them better :) there are nice seniors who are there to answer all our questions and just to hang out with us. and the room is quite homely now i think, after shifitng all my stuff here :)

hmm i'm thinking whether to join planning committees or to join stuff that don't require so much brainwork and paperwork such as performing arts. And I also don't know if I want to attempt to run for anything. Oh and all the FOCs next year. Really want to take part but also want to go for mission trip and Taiwan for summer camp. Bleh, I want too many things.

I miss Jessica, Ben, Kyle, Kevin, Laura, Francis, Bobby and all the other friends made in Taiwan.
I miss all the cute and innocent children in Creative O.
I miss Ah Jie and Xiao Guang.
I miss hanging out with Boogie Peckers and I really wish I can join them tmr :/

Thank God for all the blessings He has given me:) Really uncountable.

Oh ya, Charlotte and I were discussing the other day about how people who don't believe in God actually survive, especially free thinkers and atheists. It's ok when we're happy and everything is going fine and smoothly. But there are times where life seems so hopeless, we seem so useless and nothing seems to be going right. For us, we'll pray and ask God for help. And of course, it really helps cuz God answers prayers :) Even if He does not change the situation immediately, He will give us hope in the darkness and we know that there is God who is there for us, who will handle everything, who will not let things become more than what we can bear, who will walk with us and carry us through all the darkness. With God, everything is brighter.

So we were thinking that if we didn't believe in God, these days of darkness would be really horrible. Imagine the situation where everything seems so hard to bear and you have to do it alone. You feel that you are so helpless and useless but you know that there is no one to help you, that you only can rely on yourself. Things may become even worse and you may not be able to handle it but there's nothing you can do about it anyway. Suck thumb and carry on:/

Okay, time to sleep! Lecture tmr morning. First lecture! :)
